xenofan29a Despite the variety of styles and influences as well as the origin of much of the material in earlier work, this imaginary soundtrack maintains a remarkable unity.

about

The Adventurer's Logbook is a full-scale, 2-disc JRPG soundtrack pastiche built largely from retro game sounds!

It is structured around 12 fantasy-themed areas for the player to explore, each with their own level theme, town theme, battle theme, character theme and adjacent, auxiliary theme like a sublevel or shop. The areas are all designed to have their own motifs, instrumentation and general feel.

The areas, in order, are: plains, river, desert, forest, volcano, snow, clouds, jungle, sea, cliffs, tower, and mines.

What will you discover hidden within this seasoned traveler's journal?

Additional notes:
☆ Approximately half of these tracks are re-imagined and reworked versions of songs or themes I wrote when I was younger (mostly as a teenager) that I felt I could repurpose into something greater. It was a joy to expand that material using a decade's worth of fresher experience and knowledge.
☆ There are dozens of references to other music, both VGM and non, hidden throughout - do you recognize any of them?
